Job Description

Ameriprise Financial, Inc. seeks a Systems Engineer, in Minneapolis, MN

Responsibilities

To design, provision, and govern cloud infrastructure in AWS and Azure using infrastructure as code technologies such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and Azure Resource Manager, as well as DevOps tools and GitOps techniques. Design and develop cloud services and provisioning processes to support consistent, standardized, secure, scalable, and fully automated deployment. Provide technical leadership to team, vendor and contractor resources, validation of designs, flawless execution, and seamless transition of applications and services into the cloud environment. Remote work permitted 1 day per week.


Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, plus 5 years of engineering and integration experience in the following: cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP); and foundational technologies, including IAM and core IaaS services (compute, storage, networking.) 3 years of experience in the following: Mainframe Batch and workload automation; software engineering and/or testing; data analysis; operation systems (Linux, Windows); storage (enterprise SAN, NAS); database (SQL Server, Oracle); mainframe; and IBM Mainframes & Batch. 2 years of experience with the following: infrastructure as code technologies (CloudFormation, Terraform, ARM templates); complex operating environments; and programming language (Python, PowerShell, Groovy, COBOL.) Base Pay Salary

The estimated base salary range for this role is $127,421 - $165,000/yearly. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role. We also have a competitive and comprehensive benefits program that supports all aspects of your health and well-being, including but not limited to vacation time, sick time, 401(k), and health, dental and life insurances.
