Job description

Tygart is seeking an Informatica Administrator to support a federal agency in Washington, DC. This role requires expertise to patch and upgrade the agency's Informatica servers and maintain, modify and create new mappings. A Public Trust clearance will be required.
This is a remote position; however, travel to Washington, DC will be required.Part-time opportunities are also available.
Key Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Serve as the agency Point of Contact (POC) for all matters involving the informatica platform
  • Administer and maintain Informatica PowerCenter environments, ensuring optimal performance and availability
  • Monitor ETL processes, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to enhance data processing efficiency
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and developers to design and implement data integration solutions
  • Manage user access and security settings within Informatica, ensuring compliance with agency policies
  • Conduct regular system audits and performance tuning to ensure high availability and reliability of ETL processes
  • Provide technical support and training to team members on Informatica best practices and functionalities
  • Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for future reference
  • Stay updated with the latest Informatica features and industry trends to recommend improvements

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from an accredited institution
  • Must have both Informatica development and Admin experience
  • The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Informatica Administration, with a proven track record of managing and optimizing ETL processes
  • Over 7-10 years of experience with min 5+ years of hands-on experience in ETL development with Informatica
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in development, maintenance, and enhancements of Informatica Mappings, Workflows, and processes
  • Experience patching Informatica servers, and performing version upgrades
  • Experience working with complex SQL
  • Experience with performance tuning and optimization of Informatica workflows
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools
  • Certifications in Informatica or related technologies
