Job description

THE COMPANY

Our client is a worldwide manufacturer of high-performance industrial equipment built for production environments where cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency are critical. Their products are commonly used in industries such as food processing, pharmaceuticals, and metal fabrication to address issues including dust mitigation, contamination control, and workplace safety.

Backed by decades of engineering experience and a strong global presence, the company is currently seeing substantial growth throughout the United States. With an established international foundation, they continue to expand their influence and market reach across strategic industries.

THE JOB

Our client is seeking an Industrial Sales Representative to spearhead new business development efforts and expand market presence across targeted verticals, with a primary emphasis on manufacturing facilities throughout the Midwest.

This is a highly independent, territory-focused position responsible for identifying new opportunities, building relationships with plant-level stakeholders, and delivering consultative solutions that improve operational safety and efficiency. The role combines direct sales responsibilities with strategic channel development, providing the opportunity to cultivate both end-user accounts and distributor relationships.

Fully remote role based in the Midwest (Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, or Michigan preferred), with convenient access to a major airport.

THE QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5–10 years of B2B sales experience
  • Proven success selling industrial equipment, machinery, or capital equipment (required)
  • Experience working within manufacturing settings and interacting with plant managers, maintenance teams, or EHS professionals
  • Demonstrated ability to generate new business and expand territory growth
  • Skilled at identifying operational pain points and positioning technical solutions effectively
  • Comfortable conducting on-site visits, plant walkthroughs, and product demonstrations
  • Experience overseeing regional or national sales territories
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with both executive leadership and production-floor personnel
  • Self-driven and capable of working independently in a remote environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience within food & beverage manufacturing, automotive, or aerospace sectors
  • Background developing or managing distributor and channel partner relationships
  • Familiarity with safety- and compliance-focused environments (e.g., dust collection, EHS regulations)
  • Strong technical or mechanical aptitude

THE BENEFITS

  • Base salary: $75,000–$80,000
  • First-year total compensation: approximately $100,000+
  • Expected second-year earnings: $115,000–$125,000+
  • Uncapped earning potential for high performers ($140K–$150K+ possible)
  • Fully remote work setup
  • High level of autonomy with direct visibility to company leadership
  • Opportunity to establish and grow a territory within an expanding U.S. market
  • Backing of a well-established international manufacturer
