Niyam is seeking an experienced Maximo Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise asset management solutions in a complex environment. In this role, you will work closely with business stakeholders, developers, and operations teams to configure, customize, and enhance system functionality. You will support system integrations, troubleshoot issues, and drive performance improvements while ensuring alignment with organizational standards and best practices. The SME will also play a key role in gathering requirements, guiding solution architecture, supporting upgrades and deployments, and identifying opportunities for process automation and continuous improvement to maximize the value of the Maximo platform. Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead requirements gathering activities through stakeholder interviews, design workshops, discovery sessions, and business process reviews to define use cases and document business needs.
  • Translate business and operational requirements into detailed Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), functional specifications, user stories, workflow diagrams, process maps, and related project documentation.
  • Facilitate effective communication and coordination between business units, technical resources, and project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Analyze the Maximo database structure and evaluate the impact of proposed changes to objects, tables, indexes, relationships, and configurations.
  • Collaborate with developers, architects, system administrators, and integration teams to design, configure, implement, and support Maximo solutions.
  • Assess current-state business processes and recommend process improvements, automation opportunities, and create proof-of-concept solutions with industry's best practices.
  • Lead discussions related to system integrations, reporting requirements, data conversion strategies, and data migration planning and execution activities.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage technical and functional documentation, including system configuration documents, standard operating procedures (SOPs), training materials, and knowledge base articles.


    Qualifications and Education Requirements

    • US Citizenship with ability to obtain a Public Trust.
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related technical field.
    • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Maximo configuration and customization.
    • Relevant certifications such as IBM Certified Maximo Application Developer or related credentials.
    • Experience working on projects requiring regulatory compliance in asset management systems.
    • Demonstrated expertise in the configuration and administration of IBM Maximo Application Suite, including business objects, attributes, domains, workflows, escalations, and application configurations.
    • Strong ability to evaluate business operations and identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, reliability, compliance, and user experience through process optimization and effective utilization of system capabilities.
    • In-depth understanding of Maximo database architecture, relational data models, indexing strategies, and the operational impact of configuration and structural changes within the environment.
    • Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities, including experience troubleshooting system issues and optimizing application and database performance.
    • Ability to facilitate collaboration between business stakeholders, technical teams, and project leadership to ensure alignment with project objectives, operational priorities, and organizational goals.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to lead workshops, facilitate requirements gathering sessions, and communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.


    Preferred Skills

    • Prior experience working on federal contracts.
