Responsibilities

• Support data engineering execution across complex application development initiatives, ensuring data models, integrations, and pipelines align with established architectural standards.

• Collaborate with your engineering teammates to design and build robust data models, stored procedures, and database objects that support application and reporting needs.

• Develop and maintain SQL Server databases, including schema design, indexing strategies, query optimization, and stored procedures.

• Work with MongoDB to design document schemas and support NoSQL data access patterns alongside relational workloads.

• Participate in code and schema reviews, upholding data quality, performance, and consistency standards across the team

• You will use your software development skills in an agile environment to also develop new data pipelines, APIs, and data management tools and your experience with continuous delivery will support the end-to-end lifecycle.

Languages and Frameworks

• MS SQL Server, strong production experience with schema design, complex query writing, stored procedure development, indexing, and query performance tuning.

• MongoDB, hands-on NoSQL experience, including document modeling and integrating with relational systems.

• Comfortable modeling data across relational and document-based systems, analyzing schemas, and resolving data quality issues.

• Experience with the Azure data stack preferred, including Azure Data Factory, and Microsoft Fabric.

• Python, working proficiency for scripting, automation, and data pipeline support is a plus.

Tools

• Experience maintaining projects using a distributed version control system such as Git and GitHub.

• Experience in automated pipeline deployment and schemas into production environments.

• You should be experienced with agile methods and the concepts behind continuous delivery.

• We expect you to be passionate about database modeling, stored procedure writing, pipelines, and APIs, so we want to see your experience with security, testing, performance, JSON, and REST.

Education

• BS in Computer Science and a minimum of five years of experience delivering production solutions
