This role is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility in managing patient schedules while maintaining consistent communication with clients and healthcare teams. As a member of our Detox Center, you will work closely with healthcare professionals, including nurses and addiction specialists, using technology to monitor client progress and ensure integrative care. Regular video conferencing and electronic health record systems will be utilized to maintain the highest standards of service.

• Conduct in-depth psychosocial evaluations of clients in the detoxification process, identifying emotional, mental, and social challenges associated with substance use.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans that outline clear goals based on each client’s unique needs, emphasizing stability and recovery.
• Provide therapeutic counseling sessions aimed at addressing mental health issues, navigating impulse control, and reinforcing coping strategies.
• Advocate for client access to community resources including support groups, educational programs, and health services.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive client care, actively participating in treatment discussions and planning.
• Regularly monitor client progress, adjusting care strategies based on assessments and feedback, ensuring all nuances of client well-being are accounted for.
• Document all client interactions meticulously in the electronic health record system, ensuring compliance with protocols and ethical standards.
• Facilitate family meetings to enhance understanding, build trust, and inform relatives about treatment options and their roles in the recovery process.

The primary focus of the Licensed Master Social Worker position is individuals undergoing detoxification, many of whom face significant psychological and emotional challenges. Experience working with diverse populations, including those grappling with substance use disorders, is essential. Understanding the stigma and societal pressures associated with addiction will enhance the effectiveness of client interactions.

• Master’s degree in Social Work from a regionally accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Master Social Worker (LMSW) in the state of New Jersey.
• A minimum of two years of professional experience in social work with a focus on addiction services or related fields.
• Thorough understanding of social work principles, methods, and legal/ethical issues, particularly related to detox and mental health.
• Exceptional counseling and communication skills, enabling effective client engagement and support.
• Proficient in electronic health records and telehealth technology.
• Capacity to work independently while maintaining the ability to consult and coordinate with a team.

• Previous experience in a detox facility or rehabilitation center is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with multidisciplinary approaches to health and wellness, especially in addiction recovery settings.
• Background in crisis intervention and conflict resolution.
• Ability to navigate and utilize community resources effectively for client benefit.
