RTX's PST (Process and System Transformation) Team is seeking a Senior Manager, SAP EWM Configuration Lead. This role involves supporting the system build, implementation, and maintenance activities for the OneRTX initiative. OneRTX aims to harmonize key business processes, tools, metrics, and reporting across the organization, facilitating the transition to standardized ERP systems.

RTX has chosen SAP’s S/4HANA to enable our future ERP system and has largely concluded the strategic definition and design phase and is now entering the initial blueprinting, build and support phases.

This role is responsible for contributing to the successful delivery within each phase of the program including:

  • Blueprint – detailed design for processes, utilizing best practices and maximizing process harmonization opportunities; evaluation of gaps and making scope decisions.

  • Build – collaborate with an integrated team of external resources and internal RTX team members in the configuration and development of system capabilities.

  • Testing – support the creation and execution of test scenarios and scripts; work alongside business leaders and testers to ensure proper functionality and defect resolution.

  • Cutover & Hypercare – support successful migration from legacy systems to new environments. Support go-live and the continuation of RTX business’ financial and operational performance.

The SAP EWM Configuration Lead will support the design, implementation, and support efforts for the SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) solutions to streamline logistics and warehouse functions in optimizing logistic processes and ensuring seamless integration with other SAP modules.

The ideal candidate for this role requires strong hands-on configuration, build, and integration experience, including understanding business processes and the ability to interface with business stakeholders.

What You Will Do:

  • Design, configure, and implement SAP EWM solutions tailored to enterprise needs including optimizing core warehouse processes like inbound/outbound logistics, putaway, stock transfers, and physical inventory.

  • Conduct workshops to demonstrate standard SAP EWM processes and gather logistics and warehousing requirements from business users.

  • Lead implementation efforts, including training, writing functional specifications, testing (SIT/UAT), go-live support, and post-implementation maintenance.

  • Integrate SAP EWM with SAP S/4HANA modules (SD, PP, QM) and 3rd party systems and collaborate with the Global Trade and Services team for integration.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders while managing tasks independently and providing proactive support in a dynamic environment.

  • Ability to travel up to 25%

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience

  • Hands-on technical experience configuring, building, and implementing SAP EWM, including core warehouse processes, RF framework, Value-Added Services, LOSC/POSC, handling unit management, serial numbers, kitting, and material flow systems.

  • Experience integration technologies like CIF, qRFC, IDOC, RFC, and BAPI.

  • Background implementing Decentralized Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) with SAP S/4HANA.

Qualification We Prefer:

  • Knowledgeable in SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).

  • Exposure to transportation management or integration with Transportation Management (TM) systems.

  • Experience working on large, complex Aerospace & Defense enterprise projects -- or similarly regulated, large organization

  • Experience with agile frameworks/iterative approaches to software development and implementation projects​

This position is currently designated as remote. However, the successful candidate will be required to work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. Territories). Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).  An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
