Compensation: Annual Salary from $87,546 to $98,490 DOE

Position SummaryAs a Senior Account Manager with ThermoSafe, you will play a critical role in helping customers protect temperature-sensitive products across life sciences, healthcare, and other essential markets. Reporting to the Director of Sales, you will own direct sales activity for assigned accounts and prospects, build trusted multi-level relationships, and uncover opportunities to grow existing business while introducing new products, services, and solutions. This is an opportunity for a driven sales professional to represent an innovative leader in cold chain packaging, strengthen ThermoSafe’s position in the marketplace, and make a meaningful impact in a business where every degree matters.Key Responsibilities

Customer growth and market development are key priorities at all times

  • Prepare and maintain updated account plans for major accounts and prospective accounts within assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Provide marketing with input to support strategic planning and develop account plans aligned with overall division strategies.
  • Implement and coordinate activities related to each account plan and monitor each plan for effectiveness.
  • Provide appropriate personnel with regular progress reports covering each account plan.
  • Establish and closely monitor a call plan for all customers and prospective customers within the assigned area of responsibility, implementing changes as required.
  • Monitor customer and prospective customer activity and report on expansions, closings, business trends, and other factors impacting volume levels.
  • Maintain detailed customer files, including share, relative quality, relative price, specifications, contacts, competitor information, and other key account details.
  • Establish and maintain multi-level contacts at major existing and prospective accounts.
  • Communicate pertinent information involving assigned accounts and prospective accounts to appropriate personnel through reports of call.
  • Seek out and promote new product and service offerings, new uses for existing product lines, and potential candidates for acquisition.
  • Develop and maintain a complete list of prospective customers within assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Provide sales projections for products and customers within assigned areas of responsibility for use in developing sales budgets.
  • Investigate customer complaints promptly and accurately and coordinate resolution to the complete satisfaction of the account.
  • Assist division marketing with trade shows, conventions, and trade association meetings as requested.
  • Stay current on selling techniques and continuously improve product knowledge and marketplace knowledge.
  • Serve as coordinator for regional accounts as requested by management.
  • Champion new products and services for the region as requested.
  • Submit expense reports, reports of call, itineraries, and all other required reports on schedule.
  • Promote company goodwill and maintain proper relationships with customers and prospective customers.
  • Comply with all company policies.
Qualifications
  • 4-year undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience. 
  • Knowledge and experience in cold chain packaging - strongly preferred
  • Strong ability to develop account plans, manage customer relationships, and identify new business opportunities.
  • Ability to communicate account activity, market trends, sales projections, and customer needs clearly and consistently.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote sales environment while managing multiple priorities.

 

Preferred

  • Experience supporting trade shows, conventions, or trade association meetings.
  • Proven ability to promote new products, services, and new uses for existing product lines.
