Position Overview

Senior Hope Behavioral Health Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. This position offers therapists the unique opportunity to provide valuable mental health services to clients across diverse backgrounds, improving their relational and emotional well-being through innovative telehealth methods.

About the Organization

At Senior Hope Behavioral Health Center, we pride ourselves on being a forward-thinking mental health provider devoted to making therapeutic services accessible and effective for all. Our center fosters an environment that promotes healing and growth, focusing on client-centered care. We utilize evidence-based practices and are committed to understanding and addressing the nuanced dynamics of family systems to facilitate improved relationships and overall mental health.

Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, providing therapists with the flexibility to manage their schedules and work from their chosen locations. Despite the virtual setting, we maintain a close-knit culture with regular team meetings, collaborative case consultations, and professional development opportunities to ensure our staff member's voices are heard and valued.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct secure and confidential remote therapy sessions with individuals, couples, and families, employing advanced telehealth technology to facilitate communication and ensure a safe therapeutic environment.
  • Perform comprehensive assessments to gain insights into clients' relational dynamics, underlying mental health concerns, and family contexts, ultimately crafting tailored treatment plans that include measurable goals.
  • Utilize family systems theory and systemic interventions to address relationship dynamics, enhance communication, and alleviate family stressors, tailoring each approach to the specific needs of the client.
  • Deliver immediate support and crisis intervention when necessary, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients and their families during challenging times.
  • Maintain meticulous electronic client records, including progress notes and treatment plans, in compliance with the highest legal and ethical standards.
  • Educate clients on effective communication strategies, conflict resolution techniques, and coping mechanisms to foster healthier relationships and promote emotional resilience.
  • Collaborate with a team of mental health professionals in a virtual environment, sharing insights and best practices to ensure comprehensive care for each client.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development, staying updated on the latest research, methodologies, and ethical practices in marriage and family therapy.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals undergoing significant life transitions, couples facing challenges in their relationships, and families dealing with communication barriers or crises. Your work will directly contribute to improving their mental health outcomes and overall family dynamics in a confidential and supportive environment.

Qualifications
  • Current licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York is required.
  • A master’s degree or higher in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is mandatory.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience in the field, with a strong understanding of therapeutic practices for couples and families.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills, essential for effective remote interactions with clients.
  • A commitment to ethical practice and maintaining confidentiality in all client-related matters.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote setting, establishing a professional routine that accommodates clients across various time zones.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience providing remote therapy services is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with telehealth tools and platforms that facilitate online therapy.
  • Background in working with diverse populations and an understanding of cultural sensitivities.
Compensation and Benefits

Senior Hope Behavioral Health Center offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 90,000 per year, along with a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your well-being and professional journey.

  • Access to ongoing training and educational resources to foster your professional development.
  • A friendly and inclusive work environment conducive to collaboration and mutual support.
  • Flexible scheduling options to help maintain work-life balance.
  • Professional recommendations and support for career advancement.
Career Growth Opportunities

As a valued member of our therapeutic team, you will have access to professional growth opportunities, including workshops, seminars, and advanced training in specific modalities relevant to family therapy.
