This role will allow you to work remotely while making a tangible difference in the lives of individuals struggling with addiction and mental health issues. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will be pivotal in providing therapeutic support, ensuring clients have the tools they need to navigate their recovery journey effectively.

About the Organization

Senior Hope Behavioral Health Center is a leading community health clinic based in Seattle, Washington. We are committed to providing comprehensive behavioral health services, specifically aimed at individuals facing challenges with addiction and mental health disorders. Our mission is to empower clients by offering compassionate care and evidence-based therapeutic strategies that foster resilience and recovery. Our approach emphasizes a holistic perspective, integrating physical, mental, and emotional health to support our clients in rebuilding their lives.

Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility in your work schedule while maintaining a supportive and collaborative team environment. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate with other professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and addiction specialists, using integrated technology systems to share client information securely and efficiently. Our clinic values work-life balance and provides the tools necessary for counselors to succeed in a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to identify co-occurring disorders and individualized treatment needs, utilizing industry-standard assessment tools.
  • Design and implement tailored treatment plans that employ evidence-based practices, adjusting strategies based on ongoing evaluations and client feedback.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on addiction recovery, trauma healing, and managing underlying mental health conditions.
  • Monitor clients' progress throughout their rehabilitation journey, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans and providing continuous encouragement.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated care, participating in regular team meetings to discuss client progress and treatment goals.
  • Educate clients and their families about mental health, recovery processes, and available resources, fostering a supportive home environment for recovery.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with adults facing addiction, mental health disorders, and co-occurring issues. Many clients present with histories of trauma, anxiety, depression, and challenges stemming from substance abuse. The goal of your role is to provide a safe, empathetic space where clients can explore their feelings, develop coping strategies, and work towards their recovery goals.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
  • A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification.
  • A minimum of 3 years of recent experience in mental health counseling or a related field.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in rehabilitation counseling, particularly in substance use treatment.
  • Training in evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), or Motivational Interviewing.
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote counseling methodologies.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range from $70,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition to a robust financial package, our benefits include monthly productivity bonuses, ongoing professional development opportunities, and the provision of supervision to support your growth as a mental health professional.
