Internal Medicine Physician Clinical Review & Workflow Optimization Specialist

Full-Time | Remote or On-Site | Based in Georgia (Remote Flexibility Available)

Redefine Your Role in Internal Medicine. Innovate Care. Improve Systems.

About the Opportunity:

An established and respected outpatient internal medicine practice in the Southeastern U.S. is seeking a board-certified Internal Medicine Physician for a unique, full-time position focused on clinical oversight, diagnostic interpretation, and workflow optimizationwith minimal direct patient care.

This role is ideal for physicians looking to apply their medical expertise beyond the exam room by leading diagnostic reviews, EMR efficiency projects, and care coordination efforts. Whether you prefer to work remotely or on-site, youll benefit from flexible scheduling, no weekend clinic hours, and a forward-thinking team environment.

Position Highlights:

Youll serve as the clinical backbone of a growing multi-provider internal medicine team, focusing on:

  • Reviewing and interpreting diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, etc.)
  • Managing clinical documentation and patient communication via EMR/portal
  • Creating follow-up workflows for abnormal findings
  • Optimizing EMR templates, order sets, and incorporating technology into care
  • Providing occasional direct patient follow-up via phone or virtual consults
  • Leading clinical quality initiatives and supporting operational improvements

This role emphasizes strategic clinical thinking, tech-savvy documentation, and collaborative support for a high-functioning primary care team.

Qualifications:

  • MD with Board Certification in Internal Medicine
  • Active or eligible Georgia medical license
  • Minimum of 3 years of outpatient internal medicine experience preferred
  • Strong skills in lab and radiologic interpretation
  • Comfortable developing protocols and clinical workflows
  • Highly proficient with EMR systems and open to integrating AI solutions
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

Work Schedule & Flexibility:

  • Full-time: 4.5-day workweek, MondayFriday, 8:00 AM5:00 PM
  • Remote or in-office flexibility based on provider preference
  • No weekend clinical shifts (only occasional urgent result reviews)
  • Minimal on-call (phone-only)
  • Independent, results-driven work model

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive base salary with productivity incentives
