Job description

NextStep Recruiting is partnering with a highly regarded legal team seeking a Patent Agent or Technical Advisor with strong patent prosecution experience and a technical background in electrical engineering, wireless technologies, AI, and related advanced technology areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Draft and prosecute patent applications across complex technology areas
  • Support patent portfolio development and management
  • Work closely with attorneys, inventors, and clients on technical disclosures
  • Assist with matters involving wireless systems, AI, processors, memory, image processing, and RF technologies

Required Qualifications:

  • Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent technical background
  • 2+ years of patent prosecution experience
  • USPTO registration or eligibility to register
  • Strong experience with technologies such as 5G, Wi-Fi, AI, processor systems, memory systems, image processing, or RF front-end
