• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the mental health needs of clients, using tailored evaluation tools to identify diagnosis and treatment plans.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions that adhere to evidence-based practices, providing therapeutic interventions to clients experiencing a range of challenges such as anxiety, depression, and trauma.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that engage clients in their own recovery process, aligning interventions with their specific goals.
• Provide crisis intervention services, with the competency to manage acute situations and ensure the safety and emotional support of clients.
• Offer educational support on mental health conditions, illustrating coping strategies and community resources that clients can utilize for ongoing improvement.
• Maintain meticulously detailed and confidential client documentation, including treatment plans and progress notes, while complying with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
• Demonstrate adherence to ethical guidelines and legal regulations governing therapeutic practice, consistently prioritizing client confidentiality.
• Embrace cultural sensitivity in therapeutic settings, understanding and addressing the diverse backgrounds and experiences of clients.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care that meets client needs holistically.

Our mental health counselors serve a diverse population ranging from children to adults, each facing distinct mental health challenges. Clients seek therapy for various issues, including but not limited to stress management, relationship difficulties, PTSD, and substance use disorders. The ability to connect and build rapport with clients from varied backgrounds is crucial for successful outcomes.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution is required.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York State.
• Demonstrated clinical expertise in providing therapeutic services in diverse settings, showcasing strong foundational skills in mental health care.
