Remote Husky Injection Molding Systems information

What is a remote Husky Injection Molding Systems technician?

Remote Husky Injection Molding Systems refer to the ability to monitor, manage, and sometimes troubleshoot Husky brand injection molding machines from a distance using digital tools. This remote capability allows manufacturers to optimize performance, minimize downtime, and quickly address issues without being physically present. Operators and technicians can access system data, receive alerts, and even perform some maintenance tasks remotely, improving efficiency and reducing costs. This is especially valuable for large-scale operations or facilities with multiple locations.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote Husky Injection Molding Systems technician?

To thrive as a Remote Husky Injection Molding Systems Technician, you need a solid background in mechanical or electrical engineering, experience with injection molding processes, and relevant technical training or certification. Familiarity with Husky injection molding machines, PLC programming, and remote diagnostic tools is typically required. Strong problem-solving abilities, effective communication, and the ability to work independently are standout soft skills for this role. These competencies ensure efficient troubleshooting, minimize downtime, and maintain optimal production quality in remote manufacturing environments.

What are some common challenges faced by remote employees working with Husky Injection Molding Systems, and how can they be addressed?

Remote employees working with Husky Injection Molding Systems often face challenges related to troubleshooting equipment or providing technical support without being physically present on-site. This can make diagnosing issues or guiding on-site personnel more complex. To address these challenges, remote team members rely heavily on clear communication, video conferencing, and remote monitoring tools provided by Husky. Building strong relationships with on-site staff and staying up-to-date with the latest system updates are essential for effective collaboration and problem-solving.

Your Day-to-Day:

This position is for a Capital Projects Electrical Engineer. Engineers in this role provide technical interface with engineering firms on project development and prepare/review engineering documents using the applicable industry and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

You are knowledgeable concerning the applicable industry and nuclear standards. You should also be familiar with the nuclear industry standard design process, independent design verification, and several other important areas, including preparing stand-alone electrical calculations, preparing procurement specifications, and 10CFR50.59.

We expect the candidate to know and provide expertise with molded case circuit breakers and motor starters. Additionally, they should be familiar with thermal overloads, low voltage power breakers and switchgear, and medium voltage power breakers and switchgear. Their expertise should also include industrial battery chargers, industrial inverters or UPS, and 125Vdc battery systems. Furthermore, they have knowledge of Emergency Diesel Generators (EDGs), large dry type or oil filled transformers, main generators, and voltage regulators, etc.

Experience with ladder logic and electrical schematics is highly preferred but not required. Additionally, we prefer experience with NSCA/safe shutdown analysis, as outlined in Appendix R/NFPA 805. Furthermore, proficiency in power systems analysis, including load flow, short circuit analysis, arc flash, and coordination studies, is a plus. Familiarity with computational tools like ETAP, EDISON, and others is also desirable.

Candidates experience should mostly be in the power systems engineering area and not Instrumentation and Control. Or experience related to sensors, analog or digital electronics and cyber security

Candidates shall have at least 12 years of collective nuclear experience in US nuclear power plants (exclude international experience). We do not consider experience in other industries to be nuclear experience. These industries include fossil (oil/gas) power plants, wind, solar, geothermal, transmission/distribution, oil and gas, petrochemical.

We also prefer candidates who have prior experience as a cognizant/oversight engineer or in engineering project management, but we do not require it. However, you have more design/project engineering than project management related experience.

Candidate will expect to prepare or review/verify design output documents (i.e. design changes, calculations, specifications) that we develop internally.

Who You Are:

Experience with NextEra Energy or Florida Power & Light nuclear power plants (Seabrook, Point Beach, St Lucie, Turkey Point) is also highly preferred, but not required.

Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering required; PE preferred, may substitute for degree.

Relevant Experience: 15+ years of nuclear engineering or related experience, with expertise in plant operations and engineering project management.
