• Perform thorough assessments to understand clients' social, emotional, and environmental challenges, using structured diagnostic tools and clinical interviews.
• Develop individualized service plans that encompass specific goals, interventions, and continuous monitoring of progress in collaboration with clients.
• Provide therapeutic counseling for individuals and families navigating various life transitions and challenges, employing evidence-based practices tailored to their unique needs.
• Facilitate crisis intervention sessions, conducting risk assessments and developing safety plans for clients in acute distress.
• Engage with clients to connect them with community resources, ensuring they have access to essential services such as housing, financial assistance, and healthcare.
• Collaborate seamlessly with other community agencies and organizations to coordinate integrated support systems and advocate effectively for client needs.
• Participate actively in community outreach initiatives to enhance awareness of agency services and promote mental health resources.

As a Mental Health Therapist at Harmony Haven Counselors, you will work with a diverse client population, including individuals facing mental health disorders, substance abuse issues, family crises, and socioeconomic hardships. Your role will focus on empowering clients through tailored therapeutic interventions, helping them build resilience and access vital resources for long-term success.

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• Active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Virginia.
• Strong understanding of mental health diagnosis, therapeutic techniques, and case management principles.
• Proven communication and interpersonal skills, with a cultural competence to work effectively with diverse populations.
• A commitment to social justice and an understanding of the barriers faced by vulnerable communities.

• Previous experience working in a social service agency or a community health setting is preferred, particularly in roles that included crisis intervention or case management.
