Job description

This is a full-time remote position available to candidates residing in PA, NJ, or DE.

Occasional travel to our headquarters in Lafayette Hill, PA required.

Salary range: $53,000-$58,000

Position details:

As a member of a team of generalists,the Human Resources Generalistwill serve as a primary point of contact for Merakey employees and is responsible for resolving employee issues, answering questions, and providing reliable and accurate information in a manner consistent with the company's policies, procedures, as well as applicable laws and union contracts using exemplary customer service and professionalism. This position will partner with members of the Human Resources team, and program operations to ensure the best possible employee experience.

TheHuman Resources Generalistwill:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for Level 1 Human Resources inquiries, including employee relations, benefits, leave of absence, workers' compensation, unemployment, pay, policy interpretation, tuition reimbursement, vacation donation, and data changes.

  • Provide exceptional customer service by resolving employee and manager issues promptly and ensuring thorough follow-up through to completion.

  • Assess and troubleshoot Human Resources-related concerns using critical thinking and sound judgment; appropriately escalate complex matters when required.

  • Collaborate with Human Resources team members, management, and external vendors to support effective service delivery and issue resolution.

  • Monitor changes in federal, state, and local labor laws; support Human Resources initiatives and projects while identifying trends and recommending process improvements.

  • Work with the People Operations team to identify trends and recommend solutions on Human Resources strategies.

  • Minimum 1 year as a Human Resources Generalist or equivalent role required.

The ideal candidate will posses:

  • Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) certification
  • Proficient in Human Resources basics - (i.e., benefits, workers comp, leaves of absence, etc).
  • Experience working with a variety of software systems such as Microsoft Office, assorted HR software applications, help desk tracking, vendor applications, etc.
