Summary
You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (MILITARY) in the NAVAL SCIENCE US MERCHANT MARINE (Kings Point, NY)

Help
  • You will conduct administrative orientation briefs for new students.
  • You will serve as the primary conduit for maintaining program continuity for all NROTC program requirements.
  • You will provide senior officers, staff members, and stashed Ensigns training on multiple program requirements and processes.
  • You will plan, develop and implements procedure for administrative data collection and advises Unit staff on correct procedures.
  • You will prepare, collect, and administer various forms and correspondence in the NROTC student files and student health records.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of SPECIALIZED experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Maintain filing systems of various records; 2) Enter data into automated database systems; 3) Review documents for completeness and compliance with established guidelines; 4) Utilize office automation equipment and software in order to prepare a variety of forms and correspondence.
