Job Description

Location: Existing Ramboll office locations within the USA. Remote locations will be considered.

Do you thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative working environment? Are you excited about providing Human Resources (HR) support to management and employees on a broad range of people-related topics? Are you motivated by creating sustainable change that benefits society and nature?

If this sounds interesting to you, or you're curious to learn more, then this role could be the perfect opportunity. Join our Human Resources (HR) department as our new Human Resources Generalist / People Advisor and work with us to close the gap to a sustainable future.

Your new role

As our HR Generalist/People Advisor, you will join our People Advisory organization within North America and report to the Regional Head of People Advisory. Your main tasks will be US-focused. However, you will have opportunities to collaborate with People Advisory across the world on global projects and processes, driving our people agenda forward. As an experienced member of the team, you can take independent responsibility for tasks within your own scope of responsibility.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct workplace investigations: report on investigative results and take appropriate action based on the results of each investigation; provide coaching, support, and guidance to managers and employees; support workplace accommodations requests
  • Coordinate pay transparency-related requests for the Americas, including communications with managers and coordinating all related activities
  • Collaborate across teams globally, championing change and continuous improvement within HR. Explore, develop, and implement automation initiatives.
  • Support day-to-day operations through handling and resolution of cases in ServiceNow in line with appropriate service-level agreements (SLAs). Demonstrate understanding of Workday HRIS functions.
  • Other duties as assigned. Occasional travel (less than 5%) may be required.
Qualifications

About you

As part of the team, you take an active role in improving processes and ways of working while delivering services with a cohesive "One HR" approach. You will work with the People Advisory team to ensure consistent, high-quality support for employees and managers. To set you up for success in this role, we are looking for the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience) in Human Resources in a multi-state environment with a strong employee relations focus.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or equivalent certification is strongly desired.
  • Comprehensive understanding of employment practices, policies, procedures, and all relevant state and federal employment laws. Able to work with a high degree of confidentiality, committed to delivering excellent, inclusive service to employees and managers.
  • Strong proactive and collaborative ability across cross-cultural and virtual environments.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ticketing system, HRIS (preferably Workday), PowerBI reporting, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Additional Information

What we can offer you

  • Flexible work arrangements
  • Generous Paid Time Off
  • Excellent health and retirement benefits
  • Commitment to your development
  • Leaders guided by our Leadership Principles
