Who'll You Be Joining:

ecobee's world class HR team is looking for a HR Business Partner to provide guidance and advise our ever-growing hive. This role will work with a variety of business units across our diverse organization.

As a HR Business Partner at ecobee, you will have the opportunity to work on a number of matters related to employee engagement, performance management, compensation and employee relations. In this role, you will partner with your client groups and get to work closely with our greater HR team! Reporting to our Director of HR, we are looking for someone innovative who thrives in an environment of continuous improvement and can roll up their sleeves to help make ecobee the best place to work.

How You'll Make an Impact:

You will play a strong role in recognizing and supporting a performance driven culture with a focus on talent management, coaching and mentoring leaders (from first time managers to seasoned executives) and complex employee relations.

  • Understanding business goals, you will recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to support business objectives, productivity and development of HR within our teams

  • Partner with our Talent Acquisition team to help develop, retain, and engage high potential and high performing ecopeeps

  • With a hands-on approach, you will work with our employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement

What You'llBring to the Table:

  • Experience working in a consultative HR Business Partner role for a technology focused organization

  • You excel in building relationships, and people at all levels are comfortable confiding in you

  • Conflict resolution is where you shine, and you are excited to see growth being made within your teams

  • You are someone who leaders turn to for help and advice on how to manage their teams

  • You're a textbook of information when it comes to knowing HR law and regulations, it would be a plus if you have experience with employment in multiple provinces

  • Experience working in a rapidly scaling company where you're able to manage several projects

  • You describe yourself as hyper organized and detail oriented

  • You are comfortable with a high-volume workload and are happy to jump in when needed

ecobee is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role based in Toronto is $86,000 - $108,000. CAD. This compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications and geographic location. This role is eligible for variable compensation including short term and long-term incentives.
This position includes a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical, dental and vision plans; life, long-term disability, flexible spending and health savings accounts, accrued paid time off, paid Holidays (10 for Ontario, 11 for British Columbia) and RRSP retirement benefits.
