Position Overview

The Owensboro Mental & Health Wellness Clinic is seeking compassionate and skilled Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT) to provide high-quality mental health services to our diverse range of clients. Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home while maintaining a focus on client-centered care. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental and emotional health, utilizing evidence-based practices.
  • Develop customized treatment plans that align with clients’ unique needs, aspirations, and therapeutic goals.
  • Facilitate individual therapy sessions for a varied clientele, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and more.
  • Lead couples therapy sessions, focusing on enhancing communication skills, conflict resolution, and relationship strengthening.
  • Regularly monitor and adjust treatment plans based on ongoing client assessments and self-reported progress.
  • Maintain meticulous client records, ensuring timely documentation of assessments, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for integrated care outcomes, leveraging the expertise of other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support strategies for clients facing acute mental health crises.
  • Stay abreast of current research, guidelines, and best practices in marriage and family therapy.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance therapeutic skills and knowledge.
  • Advocate for clients' rights, facilitating access to additional resources or support services as necessary.
  • Promote a culture of self-care and wellness, both personally and within the client community.
  • Exhibit professionalism and uphold the clinic's mission and values in all client interactions.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our client population consists of a diverse group of teens, adults, and couples facing a wide array of mental health challenges. Empowering clients to achieve their therapeutic goals and improve overall well-being is our primary focus. Each therapist will work closely with clients to navigate their individual journeys toward mental wellness, ensuring that each relationship is built on trust, empathy, and understanding.

Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a comparable field.
  • A valid and active licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist through the appropriate State Board.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing therapy to individuals and couples, ideally encompassing a range of ages.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to complete client assessments, progress updates, and treatment plans in a timely manner.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with proficiency in managing electronic health record systems.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience working with culturally diverse populations and varied socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Familiarity with teletherapy tools and techniques to effectively deliver remote therapy services.
  • Experience in crisis intervention and strategies for managing acute clients in distress.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
