Job description

Erasca is a clinical-stage precision oncology company focused on discovering, developing and commercializing medicines for the benefit of patients with cancer. Our programs take novel approaches to shutting down one of cancer's most commonly mutated signaling cascades, the RAS/MAPK pathway, which affects approximately 5.5 million lives each year worldwide. The name "Erasca" has an important embedded meaning: it is a contraction of our audacious hope to "erase cancer" that drives our mission and everything that we do on behalf of patients with cancer.
Reporting to the President, R&D, the EA for Research & Development will provide executive administrative support to the President R&D, CSO, and CMO, as well as supporting Development-wide activities and meetings. They will also partner with the Administrative, Human Resources, and Operations functions in San Diego and South Francisco to support and cultivate the culture of Erasca overall. The successful candidate will be organized, resilient, motivated, and highly detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize competing and evolving activities. Additionally, they will bring energy and creativity to drive and support their own professional development and the creation of a happy and productive community of Erascals.
Note that this position can be hybrid in San Diego, CA or South San Francisco, CA or fully remote anywhere in the United States.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide complex and diverse administrative support for the President R&D, CSO, CMO, and R&D functions
  • Assist in prioritization, time management, and maintaining deadlines
  • Coordinate and maintain calendars by scheduling complex meetings with multiple competing priorities
  • Organize a variety of internal and external meetings, conference calls, and web meetings across multiple time zones and stakeholders
  • Coordinate and execute varied domestic and international travel itineraries, including flights, hotels, ground transportation, etc. with the ability to respond to changing priorities and schedules successfully and with grace
  • Coordinate with other administrative staff to facilitate Erasca conference presence, including planning, registration, travel, and internal and external meetings
  • Provide administrative support for departments as needed
  • Appropriately handle information of a highly confidential and critical nature
  • Process expense reports in a timely manner
  • Work collaboratively and liaise with Erasca employees, members of the executive team, board members, external partners, and investors
  • Communicate with and represent Erasca and R&D leadership externally with investigators, partners, health authority administrative staff, and other key stakeholders
  • Demonstrate professional confidence in one's own ability and convictions
  • Utilize intuition from previous experience working through complex situations
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of company operations, policies, and procedures
  • Create and update complex PowerPoint presentations, as well as other documents and correspondence in Word and Excel
  • Collect and prepare information for use in discussions/meetings of executive staff and outside individuals
  • Collaborate with and support President R&D, CSO, and CMO on individual and ongoing projects and activities as assigned
  • Ensure Erasca is presented in an ethical, professional, and positive manner while maintaining high level of confidentiality
  • May provide backup to EA to CEO, as appropriate, and receive reciprocal support
  • Cultivate an environment of collegiality, innovation, and fun
  • Perform all duties in keeping with the Company's core values, policies and all applicable regulations

Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or relevant work experience
  • 10+ years progressively related administrative experience including supporting scientific or medical executives
  • Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Extensive calendar and meeting planning experience
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize with effective time management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Experience managing confidential and highly sensitive information with highest degree of discretion
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment handling a wide range of administrative tasks with little supervision or oversight
  • A sense of urgency and ability to respond to internal and external correspondence in a timely and professional manner
  • Discretion and good judgement are a must
  • Friendly, team-oriented, collaborative with a positive "can-do" attitude

The anticipated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $140,000. The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, education, etcetera. In addition to base salary, the hired applicant will be eligible to receive an annual bonus and an equity grant at hire and annually in the form of the option to purchase stock in the future for a specified price.
