A Day in the Life
The Paralegal US Sales Contracting role provides legal support within the US Sales Contracting organization on topics including medical device and technology sales and marketing programs, commercial sales agreements, and other commercial contracts.
This position will report to a Paralegal Manager.

Primary Responsibilities:
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
  • Provides legal assistance within the US Sales Contracting organization in areas including medical device and technology sales and marketing programs and commercial sales agreements.
  • Assists in reviewing, editing, and negotiating commercial contracts and related documents.
  • Interacts with attorneys, pricing and contracting analysts, contract managers, and customers to finalize contract negotiations.
  • Processes legal requests in a timely manner in accordance with Medtronic contracting standards and best practices.
  • Collaborates with other legal teams, functional leaders and operating units to support improvement and harmonization of contracting processes and systems.
  • Triages issues presented to the US Sales Contracting organization, meets with internal contracting and business clients, and provides direction and escalation as needed.
  • Partners with other subject matter experts across a global, matrixed organization.
  • Conducts research on projects as directed by attorneys or other paralegals.
  • May review and ensure the company's compliance with regulations.
  • Assists internally in analyzing documents.
  • Participates in other projects as assigned or as needed.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate OR an advanced degree
  • 2+ years of paralegal or legal experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Paralegal Certificate
  • Experience drafting, reviewing, modifying, and negotiating various agreement types
  • Experience with Commercial Contracts

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$70,400.00 - $105,600.00
This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
