Description

Position Summary

Premier NX is looking for an experienced Senior HR Generalist to lead day-to-day human resources for the North American team. This person will own the full employee lifecycle, from recruiting support and onboarding through performance management and offboarding, while building and maintaining the policies, practices, and systems that keep a multi-country workforce compliant and well supported. You will be a hands-on generalist, comfortable navigating employment law across jurisdictions and serving as a trusted advisor to the Head of Human Resources, North America and the broader leadership team on people matters. This is a remote, full-time role reporting to the Head of Human Resources for North America.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the full employee lifecycle which includes onboarding, performance management, and offboarding.
  • Aid in the development, maintenance, and communication of HR policies and employee handbooks that comply with employment law across the U.S. and Canadian operations.
  • Partner with department leaders on employee movement, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
  • Manage and coordinate benefits administration, with a primary focus on U.S. programs including open enrollment, plan design and vendor management, and ACA reporting and compliance, and a secondary role supporting Canadian benefits administration.
  • Liaise on payroll matters and monitor time cards to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.
  • Support employee relations matters, workplace investigations, and conflict resolution with discretion, consistency, and fairness, keeping the Head of HR informed throughout.
  • Support the Head of HR with the talent review cycles and equip managers with the tools and coaching to run effective goal-setting and development conversations.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations in North America, proactively escalating and resolving any gaps.
  • Prepare and submit required government and regulatory reporting including U.S. EEO-1 filings, OSHA recordkeeping, ACA information requirements, and state new-hire reporting, along with applicable Canadian federal and provincial filings.
  • Champion culture, engagement, and recognition initiatives that connect a distributed, multi-country team.
  • Maintain HR systems and employee records to ensure accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Serve as a trusted, confidential advisor to the Head of Human Resources for North America and leadership team on people strategy and day-to-day HR matters.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of HR experience, including at least 4 years in a generalist capacity.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience; an HR certification (e.g., CHRP, PHR, or SHRM-CP) is a plus.
  • Experience managing HR across multiple countries or jurisdictions, ideally including both the U.S. and Canada.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. employment law is required; familiarity with Canadian employment law is a strong plus.
  • Experience in a contact center or BPO environment within a mid-size organization is strongly preferred.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for working with and supporting people.
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms and payroll-adjacent tools and processes.
  • Sound judgment and discretion in handling confidential and sensitive employee matters.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to advise leadership clearly and diplomatically.
  • Must be based in the U.S. and able to work effectively across time zones with the North American team. East Coast is preferred.
  • Candidates residing in Pennsylvania, Florida, and Tennessee are especially encouraged to apply.
  • Experience helping build an HR function from the ground up, or significantly maturing an existing one.
  • Familiarity with outsourcing/BPO industry norms and multi-country compliance requirements.
