Purpose: Drive revenue growth by closing new client deals using verified daily leads, proactive outreach, and relationshipbuilding with smallbusiness owners and HR decisionmakers. This role requires both working companyprovided leads and generating new opportunities through independent outreach to support Ellis Career & Talent's nationwide expansion.

About the Role 

The Sales Representative (CommissionOnly) role is designed for motivated, resultsdriven closers who thrive in a fastmoving startup environment and want uncapped earning potential

You'll receive verified leads daily each vetted for legitimacy and contact accuracy but these leads are not guaranteed to be interested in HR or recruiting services. Because of this, Sales Representatives are expected to conduct their own outreach, generate additional leads, and build new opportunities outside of the companyprovided pipeline. 

This role emphasizes relationshipbuilding, consultative selling, proactive outreach, and closing deals. If you're driven, resourceful, and ready to help scale a growing company, this position offers a rare opportunity to shape our sales department and grow alongside a nationwide expansion. 

Key Responsibilities 

Sales Cycle & Lead Management 

  • Run the full sales cycle from lead engagement pitching closing 
  • Work-verified leads are provided daily through our internal outreach system 
  • Conduct consistent followups with prospects 
  • Track activity, pipeline, and performance metrics independently 

Proactive Outreach & Lead Generation 

  • Generate new leads through independent outreach (email, social, networking, etc.) 
  • Build your own supplemental pipeline to increase earning potential 
  • Identify businesses that may benefit from HR or recruiting support 
  • Maintain a steady flow of outbound communication to create new opportunities 

RelationshipBuilding & Consultative Selling 

  • Build rapport with smallbusiness owners and HR decisionmakers 
  • Use consultative selling techniques to understand the prospect's needs 
  • Present Ellis Career & Talent's HR and Talent Acquisition services clearly and confidently 
  • Use scripts, templates, and outreach tools to maximize conversions 

Process Improvement & Collaboration 

  • Help refine sales processes and messaging for better performance 
  • Collaborate directly with the Founder & CEO on sales strategy and positioning 
  • Provide feedback on lead quality, outreach tools, and sales workflows 
  • Support the development of a scalable, repeatable sales engine 

Compensation Structure (CommissionOnly

Commission Model 

This position is 100% commissiononly with no base salary or hourly pay. Sales Representatives are hired as 1099 independent contractors and earn commission when clients complete payment for services. 

Earning Potential 

  • Commission rates range from 30% to 40%, depending on the service sold 
  • Opportunities to earn highticket commissions on HR and Talent Acquisition packages 
  • Monthly renewal bonuses available for longterm clients 

Payouts 

Commission is released upon payment of the client's final invoice. Payments are sent electronically on a biweekly schedule.
