Job Overview:
The Sr. Manager IT Solutions - HR Technology is a strategic technology leader within the HR and Corporate Applications IT organization. This role is responsible for leading and executing the Human Capital Management (HCM) transformation strategy, leading enterprise initiatives that modernize HR processes, platforms, and associate experiences. The position partners closely with HR leadership, COEs, Technology teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to establish a multi-year roadmap, prioritize investments, and deliver scalable solutions aligned with organizational objectives.
This role requires a balance of strategic planning, people leadership, operational excellence, and technology expertise to successfully deliver enterprise transformation programs.
Job Responsibilities:
Core Responsibilities
  • Lead the definition of the HCM transformation vision, strategy, and multi-year technology roadmap.
  • Partner with HR senior leaders and business leaders to identify opportunities that improve associate experience, operational efficiency, data quality, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Translate business priorities into actionable technology initiatives and investment plans.
  • Establish governance frameworks to evaluate, prioritize, and manage transformation initiatives across the HCM portfolio.
  • Lead complex, enterprise-wide transformation programs from strategy through deployment and adoption.
  • Oversee project portfolios, roadmaps, resource allocation, budgets, risks, dependencies, and delivery outcomes.
  • Provide executive-level reporting on transformation progress, milestones, risks, and value realization.
  • Drive best practices for solution architecture, process standardization, governance, data integrity, security, and compliance.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Provide direction and oversight to dotted-line team members supporting transformation initiatives.
  • Lead and develop a team of consultants, functional experts, project resources, and external partners.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes through automation, analytics, AI-enabled capabilities, and emerging technologies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
Education/ Certifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

Experience:
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive professional experience in HR Technology, HCM systems, IT applications, digital transformation, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 5 years of people leadership experience, including leading direct reports, consultants, cross-functional teams, or matrixed organization.
  • Experience leading large-scale HCM transformation programs and enterprise technology initiatives.
  • Experience managing third-party partners, consultants, and vendor relationship.
  • Experience developing and managing strategic roadmaps and multi-year investment plans.

  • Ability to build high-performing teams and collaborative partnerships.

Work Environment:
Remote Role:
  • This position is classified as remote where the associate will perform remote work from their primary residence. Remote associates are welcome to work from the office but are not required to do so. While remote associates are not required to work from an office on a regular basis, they may be required to come to the office or other UNFI locations for necessary business reasons or if directed to do so by their manager.
