Your Role as a Recruiting Intern
This role may also be known as:
Talent Acquisition Intern, HR Intern - Recruiting, People Team Intern, or Human Resources Intern (Recruiting Focus).
As a Recruiting Intern, you'll support Americare's Talent Acquisition team with day-to-day recruiting activities for frontline and professional roles across our senior living communities. You'll gain hands-on experience with sourcing, candidate communication, interview coordination, and recruitment marketing-while learning how recruiting strategies directly impact hiring outcomes.
You'll work closely with recruiters and People Team members to help deliver a positive, respectful, and engaging candidate experience that reflects Americare's RISING values and Hometown Hospitality® culture.
What You'll Do
  • Support recruiting efforts through sourcing, screening, and candidate communication
  • Post, update, and maintain job openings in Americare's Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Review resumes and candidate profiles for potential fit
  • Assist with scheduling phone screens and interviews
  • Support phone screens and interview documentation as appropriate
  • Assist with recruitment marketing, including social media job postings
  • Help prepare for and attend career fairs and hiring events as needed
  • Track recruiting activity and assist with basic reporting
  • Participate in special Talent Acquisition projects and process improvements
  • Collaborate with recruiters to ensure a strong candidate experience

What You Bring
Education & Experience
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, Psychology, or a related field preferred
  • OR equivalent experience with a strong interest in recruiting or HR
  • Previous customer service, administrative, or internship experience is a plus (not required)

Skills & Strengths
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and web-based tools
  • Eager to learn, ask questions, and take initiative
