This full-time remote position allows you to offer exceptional mental health support to our diverse clientele through a blend of individual and group therapy. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive preliminary interviews with clients, meticulously documenting their case history from the initial consultation through the conclusion of treatment.
  • Assess and evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional states using standardized tools and clinical interviews.
  • Develop tailored intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups based on clinical assessment and best practices, ensuring each strategy aligns with the client’s unique needs.
  • Facilitate a variety of therapeutic interventions, including both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing appropriate therapeutic modalities.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate client progress against treatment goals, making adjustments as necessary to optimize outcomes.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of mental health professionals, including psychologists, psychiatrists, and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care.
  • Provide follow-up care in collaboration with psychiatrists and attending physicians for clients needing hospitalization, ensuring continuity of care.
  • Identify and intervene early on behaviors that may interfere with a client’s recovery journey.
  • Support family members and primary caregivers by offering guidance on managing mental health challenges within the home environment.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work with a wide range of clients, experiencing diverse mental health challenges, including anxiety disorders, depression, relationship issues, and more complex psychological conditions. Our clients often come from varied backgrounds, necessitating a nuanced understanding of different cultural contexts and the ability to provide personalized care that respects their unique experiences.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
  • Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Georgia.
  • A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
  • A wealth of experience as a mental health counselor, demonstrating a capacity for independent practice.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as AVATAR is highly desirable.
  • Experience addressing both physical and emotional health conditions, including addiction disorders, is a plus.
  • A robust understanding of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) guidelines and best practices.
  • Solid knowledge of psychopharmacology and the impact of medications prescribed by medical professionals on clients’ mental health.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, along with strong interpersonal abilities, allowing for productive client relationships.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience in an outpatient setting, especially providing remote care.
  • Proficient in using telehealth platforms for therapy sessions and client interactions.
  • Background in crisis intervention and handling complex cases that require immediate response.
