Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial assessments to accurately identify the mental health and substance use needs of clients, utilizing standardized tools and interview techniques.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that align with each client’s unique profile, continually revising strategies based on progress and feedback.
• Provide diverse therapeutic modalities including individual, group, and family therapy to help clients navigate their recovery journey.
• Maintain meticulous and timely clinical documentation within our electronic health records (EHR) system to ensure compliance and optimize client care.
• Engage with an interdisciplinary treatment team to foster collaborative care; participate actively in case reviews and treatment planning meetings.
• Deliver crisis intervention services when necessary, effectively showcasing your ability to manage urgent patient needs.
• Remain current with evidence-based practices and emerging trends in the fields of mental health and substance abuse to continuously elevate the quality of care provided.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be serving a diverse client population, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, PTSD, addiction disorders, and various co-occurring conditions. Our focus is on tailored treatment plans that respect and respond to the unique backgrounds and needs of each client, ensuring that they receive the most relevant and effective care possible.

Qualifications

• A valid license as a Mental Health Counselor in the state of Massachusetts.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in providing mental health and substance abuse treatment, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
• A Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field is required.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, specifically the ability to build rapport with clients and collaborate efficiently with colleagues.
• Strong organizational skills and adept time-management capabilities to handle multiple priorities and client needs.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working within an outpatient setting, specifically with clients dealing with substance abuse challenges.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and documentation requirements.
• A background in crisis intervention and trauma-informed care approaches.

Compensation and Benefits

The Iris Counseling Center offers a competitive salary range of USD 75,000 to 90,000 annually, which is commensurate with your education and experience.
