Job Description

- Culinary Training: Leading on-site workshops to teach school food staff professional knife skills, bulk cooking techniques, and recipe scaling.
- Operational Assessment: Analyzing school kitchen infrastructure, procurement habits, and financial data to create a roadmap for scratch-cooking success.
- Program Management: Overseeing the implementation of CAF initiatives like Get Schools Cooking or the Healthy School Food Pathway.
- Advocacy & Engagement: Building relationships with school boards, parents, and administrators to champion the importance of school food reform.
Position Requirements
- Mission Alignment: A demonstrable passion for school food reform and the belief that every child deserves access to fresh, healthy, scratch-cooked food.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong comfort with remote work tools, specifically Google Workspace (G-Suite) and Zoom.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex food service concepts for different audiences (e.g., school boards vs. kitchen staff).
