In this full-time position, you will engage with clients through mental health evaluations, tailored treatment planning, and various therapeutic interventions. • Conduct thorough preliminary interviews and document all client interactions, from initial assessment through treatment completion, adhering to confidentiality and ethical guidelines.
• Evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health using diagnostic tools and clinical interviews to identify appropriate treatment modalities.
• Develop and implement personalized intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, tailored to their specific needs and goals.
• Facilitate engaging and effective individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based techniques and tools to promote client engagement and positive outcomes.
• Monitor client progress regularly and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure the best possible outcomes.
• Collaborate seamlessly with other healthcare professionals, including psychologists, psychiatrists, and social workers, to create comprehensive intervention strategies.
• Follow up with hospital staff and psychiatrists regarding clients who require inpatient treatment or additional support.
• Identify potential setbacks that may impede recovery and proactively adjust approaches to support clients' ongoing progress.
• Assist family members and caregivers in understanding mental health challenges and equip them with strategies to support their loved ones effectively.

Your clients will include individuals facing a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma-related conditions, and substance use issues. Working with a diverse client base, you will tailor your therapeutic approaches to respect cultural differences and individual circumstances, ensuring that every client receives personalized and effective care.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure in Florida as an LMHC, LMFT, or LCSW.
• Successful completion of the National Counselors Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Proven clinical experience as a mental health counselor with a strong understanding of therapeutic modalities.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to manage client data effectively.

• Experience working with clients presenting various mental health conditions, including co-occurring substance use disorders.
• Familiarity with the best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
• Thorough knowledge of the effects of medications prescribed by other healthcare providers on mental health.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to forge strong connections with clients and colleagues alike.
