Position Overview

Western Health Counseling Services is actively seeking a dedicated and empathetic Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our remote team on a full-time basis. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments and ongoing evaluations of clients' mental health needs through remote consultations.
• Formulate and implement tailored treatment plans incorporating therapeutic modalities compatible with evidence-based practices.
• Conduct regular follow-up sessions to monitor client progress and adjust treatment as necessary to ensure effective care.
• Educate clients on coping skills, strategies, and resources that support their recovery journeys.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.
• Document client interactions and treatment progress accurately within our EHR system, adhering to HIPAA regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily serve a diverse clientele ranging across various ages, cultural backgrounds, and socio-economic statuses. You will encounter individuals facing complex challenges, including mental health disorders, substance use issues, and life transitions. Your ability to provide culturally sensitive care and establish a trusting relationship will be imperative in supporting clients in achieving their goals and enhancing their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A master's degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.
• A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience, particularly in a community health or mental health setting.
• Strong understanding of various mental health disorders and proficiency in implementing evidence-based interventions.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver individual and group therapy effectively, employing inclusive and culturally responsive approaches.

Preferred Experience

• Experience using electronic health record (EHR) systems to document client information adeptly.
• Proven ability in crisis intervention, with a calm demeanor in challenging situations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• A commitment to maintaining ethical standards and confidentiality as outlined by professional guidelines.
• Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary teams to optimize client care outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time counseling position offers an annual salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
