Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the severity and impact of mood disorder symptoms, considering the subjective experiences of clients.
  • Work closely with clients to craft personalized treatment plans that reflect their unique goals, coping strategies, and preferences.
  • Implement a variety of evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to individual client needs.
  • Educate clients and their families about mood disorders and effective self-care strategies, assisting them in understanding specific therapeutic approaches.
  • Continuously monitor client progress against established treatment goals, making necessary adjustments to treatment strategies based on individual responses.
  • Partner with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care, integrating medical and therapeutic practices.
  • Remain informed on the latest research developments in mood disorder treatments to continually enhance clinical practices.
  • Maintain detailed and confidential documentation of client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans in accordance with ethical standards and regulations.
  • Engage in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development workshops aimed at refining clinical skills and sharing best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with clients experiencing mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. This role requires sensitivity and understanding of the complex realities that our clients face, as well as a commitment to treating them with respect and dignity.

Qualifications
  • A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure in the state as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT is required.

  • At least two years of post-licensure experience with a focus on mood disorder treatment.
