Position Overview

Mindful Healing Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and fully licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. This role is pivotal in providing mental health support and counseling services primarily focused on individuals battling substance abuse issues and co-occurring mental health disorders. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, utilizing secure telehealth systems to conduct therapy sessions, assessments, and consultations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and screenings to understand clients' substance abuse history, mental health conditions, and personal circumstances affecting their recovery.
• Develop comprehensive and personalized treatment plans that address the complexities of addiction alongside associated mental health issues.
• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions, incorporating research-backed methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to enhance client engagement and outcomes.
• Engage collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and case managers to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to client care, optimizing treatment strategies.
• Educate and involve clients' families in the recovery process to foster an understanding and supportive home environment.
• Maintain meticulous records and documentation to ensure compliance with ethical standards and regulatory guidelines in mental health treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary clientele consists of individuals grappling with substance use disorders, often coupled with anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges. In this role, you will work with diverse populations, including adolescents and adults from various backgrounds, fostering a safe space for recovery and personal growth.

Qualifications

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Certified Social Worker - Clinical (LCSW-C), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A master's degree or doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• Specialized training or experience in addiction counseling and substance abuse treatment.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices for treating substance abuse and co-occurring disorders.
• Exceptional therapeutic skills and the capacity to build trusting relationships with clients.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to effectively work with a diverse treatment team.

Preferred Experience

• Experience creating and implementing treatment protocols tailored to individual clients' needs.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and telehealth platforms.
• Proven track record of successfully motivating clients towards achieving their recovery goals.
• Participation in professional development workshops or training specific to addiction and mental health.
