A Remote Hire Misdemeanor Theft refers to a situation where an individual who has been hired remotely—meaning they have not physically come into an office or location for onboarding—is found to have a misdemeanor theft charge on their record. Employers often conduct background checks during the remote hiring process to screen for such offenses.
