Professionals in these positions use digital tools to coordinate with teams, manage documents, and ensure the smooth planning and execution of high speed rail initiatives. Remote work in this sector is growing as technology allows for more collaboration and oversight from a distance.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote high speed rail operations specialist?

To thrive as a Remote High Speed Rail Operations Specialist, you need expertise in railway systems, safety protocols, and train control operations, often supported by a degree in engineering or transportation management. Familiarity with rail traffic management software, signaling systems, and remote monitoring tools is typically required. Our recruitment team identifies dependable, polished, and service-oriented professionals who can deliver an exceptional experience to residents, guests, clients, and vendors.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Part-Time Recruitment Coordinatorย to support our high-volume hiring process. This position will focus primarily on applicant review, phone screening, candidate communication, interview scheduling, and applicant-tracking-system documentation.

The Role

The Recruitment Coordinator will support the early stages of Compassโ€™s hiring process by reviewing applications, conducting brief structured phone screens, documenting candidate information in Paycom, and scheduling qualified candidates for first interviews.

The ideal candidate is comfortable speaking with a high volume of applicants, evaluating qualifications against established criteria, maintaining accurate records, and independently managing follow-up responsibilities.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Review applications and resumes for concierge and front-desk positions
  • Identify applicants who meet established experience, availability, and job-related requirements
  • Conduct structured phone screens lasting approximately 10 to 15 minutes
  • Verify work history, customer-service experience, availability, pay expectations, transportation, and ability to meet position requirements
  • Explain available Concierge, Elite Concierge, and On-Call Concierge opportunities
  • Provide candidates with accurate information about schedules, locations, compensation, and hiring steps
  • Enter complete, objective, and timely screening notes in Paycom
  • Apply appropriate candidate statuses and dispositions
  • Schedule qualified applicants for first-round interviews
  • Send interview confirmations, follow-up messages, and candidate disposition communications
  • Monitor candidates who have not completed required application steps
  • Maintain organized and accurate applicant records
  • Escalate discrepancies, qualification concerns, or sensitive information to Human Resources
  • Protect candidate information and maintain confidentiality
  • Assist with additional recruitment coordination projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in recruiting, applicant screening, human resources, customer service, administrative support, or a related function
  • Strong verbal communication and professional telephone presence
  • Ability to ask structured questions and appropriately probe unclear or incomplete answers
  • Sound judgment when reviewing candidate qualifications
  • Strong written communication and documentation skills
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple applicants, appointments, and follow-up items
  • Ability to work independently while following established procedures
  • Comfort learning and using an applicant-tracking or human-resources information system
  • Ability to handle confidential candidate information appropriately
  • Reliable computer, phone, high-speed internet connection, and private remote workspace

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience conducting candidate phone screens
  • Experience using Paycom or another applicant-tracking system
  • Experience recruiting for hospitality, concierge, reception, property management, security, or customer-service positions
  • Familiarity with high-volume or hourly recruitment
  • Residence in the Greater Tampa Bay, FL Area

Performance Expectations

The Recruitment Coordinator will generally be expected to:

  • Complete approximately five to eight candidate screens per working day, depending on applicant availability and assigned hours
  • Review assigned applicants and complete follow-up work promptly
  • Maintain complete and accurate Paycom records
  • Follow the approved screening guide and qualification standards
  • Communicate delays, concerns, or barriers before they affect deadlines
  • Maintain professional and responsive communication with applicants
  • Complete assigned work with limited day-to-day supervision
  • Demonstrate consistent attendance and availability during agreed-upon working hours

What Success Looks Like

A successful Recruitment Coordinator will:

  • Keep candidates moving through the process without unnecessary delays
  • Provide Human Resources with clear and reliable screening information
  • Maintain accurate and current applicant records
  • Create a professional and welcoming candidate experience
  • Exercise good judgment without exceeding the authority of the role
  • Consistently follow established recruitment procedures and communication standards

  • Maintain a reliable internet connection and working telephone
  • Have access to a computer capable of supporting required systems
  • Work from a quiet and private location suitable for candidate calls
  • Protect confidential applicant and Company information
