This role is designed specifically for a remote, telehealth setting, allowing counselors the freedom to provide care from their own workspace while staying connected with clients through digital platforms. Our clinic offers various resources, such as access to advanced telehealth technology and electronic medical records systems, to streamline service delivery and enhance client interactions.

• Conduct initial assessments for new clients, gathering comprehensive psychosocial histories and understanding their unique circumstances.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that address individual goals, mental health challenges, and preferred therapy modalities.
• Facilitate individual therapy sessions, as well as group therapy workshops, focusing on a variety of issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties.
• Regularly document client progress within our electronic medical records system, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and maintaining confidentiality.
• Collaborate routinely with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers to provide cohesive care and follow through on treatment plans.
• Engage in regular professional development to stay updated on current best practices, attending training, workshops, and peer review sessions.
• Contribute insights and suggestions to enhance clinical practices and overall patient outcomes based on personal experience and knowledge.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support individuals from different backgrounds, navigating their mental health journey in a compassionate and understanding environment.

• A Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• An active and valid licensure in California as either an LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC.
• A minimum of two years of experience working in mental health settings, providing direct counseling services to individuals or groups.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to quickly establish trust and rapport with clients.
• Proficient usage of electronic medical records (EMR) systems is preferred, although not mandatory.

• Experience in telehealth or virtual counseling services.
• Previous involvement with evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or Motivational Interviewing.
• Background in case management or providing crisis intervention services.
