Job description

The Transportation Project Manager will lead the delivery of roadway projects from conceptual design through preliminary, intermediate, and final design phases to construction. You`ll manage a team of engineers and designers in all aspects of design and plan preparation for roadway, highway, and civil improvement projects for State, City, and County agencies.


โ€ข Plan, direct and manage transportation projects, overseeing all aspects of multi-disciplinary transportation planning projects across the region.
โ€ข  Provide superior client service through quality management, technical excellence, responsiveness, and production management of design plans and specifications, reports and analyses 
โ€ข Prepare scope, schedule, and budgets for projects and task orders
โ€ข Develop and present complex technical solutions to clients, demonstrating innovative problem-solving abilities
โ€ข Oversee the planning and design for roadway, Bridge and traffic engineering projects
โ€ข Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality project outcomes
โ€ข Assist in business development and proposal efforts with local municipal, state, and private clients 


  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Planning, Sciences or a closely related field
  • 8 years of experience in transportation project management
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex roadway/highway projects
  • Understands transportation design software, including OpenRoads and MicroStation
  • Strong knowledge of transportation industry standards, regulations, and best practices
