As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Conducting thorough assessments and crafting personalized treatment plans tailored to individual client needs, which may include pre-crisis and crisis plans.
• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards, ensuring that all required materials are completed diligently.
• Utilizing evidence-based screening tools to identify mental health needs and inform clinical decision-making.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to formulate and implement positive behavior support plans that enhance client outcomes.
• Actively participating in licensing and accreditation processes, contributing insights and best practices to ensure the highest standards of care.
• Serving as a liaison to various service systems, state agencies, and community partners to facilitate comprehensive care for clients.
• Establishing and nurturing relationships with local, state, federal, and private institutions to promote our programs and secure new partnerships.
• Engaging in continuous professional development through attending workshops, conferences, and representing the agency in community forums.
• Upholding the mission, values, and principles of the organization in every aspect of the role.
• Performing other duties as assigned by the Clinic Director to support operations and enhance client services.

In this role, you will work with a diverse population of clients, including individuals experiencing mental health disorders, those in need of substance use recovery assistance, and persons with developmental disabilities and brain injuries. Your focus will be to provide empathetic support to each client, allowing them to explore their strengths while addressing their challenges in a safe and nurturing environment.

The ideal candidate for the Licensed Mental Health Counselor position will meet the following qualifications:

• A Master’s Degree in a mental health-related field is required for this role.
• An Independent LMHC license is essential for practice.

While not mandatory, we highly value candidates who possess prior experience in mental health counseling or related fields, specifically in outpatient settings. Experience working with diverse populations and utilizing evidence-based practices in assessment and treatment will give you an advantage in this role.
