Remote Healthcare Content Writer information

What does a remote healthcare content writer do?

A Remote Healthcare Content Writer creates informative and engaging written materials about medical topics, healthcare services, or wellness advice for online platforms, health organizations, or publications. Working remotely, they research topics, write articles, blogs, patient education materials, or marketing content, and ensure the information is accurate, accessible, and compliant with healthcare regulations. Their work helps educate patients, support healthcare professionals, and promote public health awareness.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote healthcare content writer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Healthcare Content Writer, you need strong writing and research skills, a solid understanding of medical terminology, and typically a background in health sciences or communications. Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), SEO tools, and style guides like AMA or AP is essential. Attention to detail, adaptability, and the ability to communicate complex topics clearly are standout soft skills. These skills ensure accurate, engaging, and compliant healthcare content that serves both patient education and organizational goals.

What are some common challenges remote healthcare content writers face when collaborating with medical professionals?

Remote Healthcare Content Writers often work closely with doctors, nurses, or subject matter experts to ensure the accuracy and credibility of content. One common challenge is aligning complex medical information with audience-friendly language without losing essential details. Coordinating schedules for interviews or content reviews across different locations and time zones can also require flexibility and strong communication skills. Building rapport remotely and understanding the nuances of clinical terminology are key to producing high-quality, trustworthy healthcare content.

Job description

About the Role

We are looking for a PH-based Website Content Writer with excellent written English to rewrite approximately 20–30 existing blog posts that have been flagged by AI-content detection tools. The goal is to make each article sound natural, authentic, and genuinely human-written while preserving the original message, accuracy, and intent.

Key Responsibilities
  • Rewrite approximately 20–30 blog posts flagged as potentially AI-generated.
  • Improve sentence structure, flow, tone, readability, grammar, and word choice.
  • Preserve the original meaning and important information.
  • Identify and eliminate writing that sounds robotic, repetitive, generic, or AI-generated.
  • Thoroughly proofread all content before submission.
  • Use spell-check only as an editing aid.
Important Requirement: No AI Writing Tools

This is a human-writing role. The use of ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or any other AI tool to write, rewrite, paraphrase, or generate content is strictly prohibited.

All rewriting and editing must be done by the writer. Standard spell-check tools are permitted.

Candidates may be asked to submit writing samples as part of the hiring process.

After the 30 blogs have been rewritten, 2-4 blogs must be created per month.

Requirements
  • Excellent written English and strong command of grammar and vocabulary.
  • Experience writing, editing, or rewriting blogs, articles, or website content.
  • Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to make content sound natural and engaging without changing its original meaning.
  • Reliable internet connection and good communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
  Work Arrangement
  • Remote / Philippines-based
  • Flexible working hours
  • Must be available for periodic check-ins and responsive to team communication.
  • Must consistently meet agreed-upon deadlines.
