Your primary responsibilities as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments and initial evaluations to ascertain the mental and emotional needs of patients.
• Developing personalized treatment plans and coping strategies tailored to each patient’s unique challenges.
• Conducting individual and group therapy sessions, using cognitive-behavioral techniques and other modalities to promote healing.
• Regularly monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
• Educating patients and healthcare staff on effective stress and trauma management techniques.
• Coordinating with social services, medical professionals, and community outreach programs to connect patients with appropriate resources.
• Maintaining accurate and confidential documentation of patient records and treatment outcomes.
• Participating in ongoing training and continuing education programs to uphold certification standards and enhance professional expertise.

This role will primarily focus on patients dealing with trauma-related injuries and mental health disorders. You will work closely with individuals who have faced significant challenges, including those experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other emotional disturbances. Your therapeutic input will help guide them to recovery, providing resources and strategies essential for achieving their personal goals and improving overall mental wellness.

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field.
• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential in the state of Washington.
• A minimum of three years of clinical experience, particularly with trauma patients.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Experience with Salesforce or similar systems for patient management will be considered a significant advantage. Familiarity with current trends in mental health treatment modalities, especially those focused on trauma, is also highly beneficial.
