• Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental and emotional well-being, utilizing tools and techniques to gauge their needs and concerns.
• Formulate personalized treatment plans based on comprehensive evaluations, considering client goals and preferences.
• Deliver individual therapy sessions addressing a wide spectrum of mental health issues, employing evidence-based techniques to foster growth and healing.
• Facilitate couples therapy sessions aimed at improving communication skills and resolving conflicts, ultimately strengthening relationships.
• Consistently review and adapt treatment plans in collaboration with clients to ensure they reflect ongoing progress and changing needs.
• Maintain precise documentation of client interactions, ensuring all records are timely, accurate, and compliant with legal and ethical standards.
• Engage in collaborative treatment planning with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and social workers, to deliver integrated care.
• Stay informed about the latest advancements in marriage and family therapy through ongoing professional development opportunities.
• Provide crisis intervention and support in acute situations, ensuring clients receive the help they need during emergencies.
• Advocate for client needs and rights, empowering them to make informed decisions regarding their treatment pathways.

As an LMFT with Owensboro Mental & Health Wellness Clinic, you will work primarily with diverse populations including children, adolescents, adults, and couples. Your work will involve addressing an array of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship problems, and life transitions. Your ability to connect empathetically with clients will be central to your success, as the relationships fostered in therapy are instrumental to achieving positive outcomes.

• A Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field is required.
• Must possess active licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist through the State Board.
• Demonstrated experience providing both individual and couples therapy is preferred.
• Experience working with both children and adults is advantageous.
• Strong skills in documenting assessments, progress notes, and treatment plans in a timely manner.
• Excellent writing and communication abilities, with the capacity to learn and utilize electronic health record systems effectively.
