Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough crisis assessments for clients experiencing acute mental health emergencies, ensuring they receive immediate attention and support.
• Implement de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention strategies to manage situations effectively and safeguard client well-being.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary to address urgent safety concerns for clients.
• Develop comprehensive follow-up care plans and provide ongoing counseling services to clients in distress.
• Engage in continuous learning and training to enhance your crisis counseling techniques and stay updated with best practices in mental health care.
• Maintain detailed documentation of client interactions and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of your role will be individuals grappling with substance use disorders and accompanying mental health issues. You will work with diverse populations, including those experiencing trauma, emotional crises, and varying levels of distress. Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential.
• A minimum of three years of professional experience directly related to mental health counseling and crisis intervention.
• Special training in crisis counseling and trauma-informed care is highly valued.
• Proficiency in evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
