Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for elderly clients, identifying specific care needs and developing tailored treatment plans.
• Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions focusing on emotional issues related to aging, such as depression, anxiety, and social isolation.
• Work closely with healthcare teams to craft comprehensive care strategies that incorporate medical, psychological, and social perspectives.
• Educate families and staff members on effective approaches to support the emotional well-being and quality of life of seniors.
• Provide specialized grief and loss counseling to residents and their families, particularly those navigating end-of-life challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification.

Compensation and Benefits
