• Conduct comprehensive crisis assessments for clients experiencing acute mental health emergencies, utilizing evidence-based techniques to evaluate their immediate needs.
• Provide rapid intervention services, offering support to individuals in distress, including those facing suicidal ideation or acute emotional crises.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary to ensure client safety and proper intervention protocols are followed.
• Develop personalized crisis intervention plans that include follow-up care strategies and referrals to other services for continued support.
• Employ de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention strategies in high-stress situations, maintaining a focus on client empowerment and recovery.
• Engage in ongoing professional development aimed at enhancing your skills in crisis counseling and trauma-informed approaches to care.

Your primary focus will be on individuals grappling with addiction issues, mental health crises, and trauma. You will work with a diverse population, including individuals from various cultural backgrounds, promoting inclusivity and cultural sensitivity in your counseling approaches. This role is critical in supporting individuals during vulnerable moments, helping them navigate challenges towards improved mental health and well-being.

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential.
• A minimum of 3 years of recent experience in crisis intervention and mental health counseling.
• Proficiency in evidence-based crisis intervention methodologies and de-escalation strategies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fostering rapport with clients under distress.
• An empathetic and culturally aware approach to client care.
• Ability to conduct timely assessments and create effective intervention plans that promote client safety and recovery.
• Deep understanding of ethical practices and legal regulations in crisis counseling.

• Specialized training in trauma-informed care or additional certifications related to crisis counseling.
• Experience working remotely and utilizing telehealth technologies for counseling services.
• Demonstrated success in delivering therapeutic services to clients in immediate mental health crises.
• Knowledge and experience with community resources and referral systems that support individual recovery.
