This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility and the opportunity to engage with clients from the comfort of your own home. We utilize telehealth technologies to deliver high-quality counseling services to patients, ensuring that support is accessible regardless of geographical barriers. Our work hours are set from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, fostering a structured yet adaptable work-life balance.

• Conduct thorough crisis assessments and interventions for clients experiencing mental health emergencies, including individuals at risk of self-harm or suicide.
• Provide immediate counseling and connection to resources for those in acute distress, ensuring they receive timely and effective support.
• Collaborate closely with law enforcement and emergency personnel to protect the safety and welfare of clients during crisis scenarios.
• Implement follow-up care to sustain client support and guide them toward appropriate treatment options post-crisis.
• Employ robust crisis intervention strategies and de-escalation techniques to manage challenging cases effectively.
• Pursue continual professional development through training opportunities to enhance crisis counseling skills and stay current with best practice methodologies.

• Demonstrable ability to deliver counseling services effectively to individuals facing acute mental health crises.
• Strong command of evidence-based crisis intervention techniques and effective de-escalation strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients in distress.
• A culturally sensitive approach, showing empathy and understanding for diverse backgrounds.
• Proficient in conducting rapid assessments and developing personalized crisis intervention plans.
• An in-depth understanding of ethical and legal standards governing crisis counseling practices.

• Additional certifications or specialties in trauma-informed care or addiction counseling are highly regarded.
• Previous experience working in a remote setting or telehealth services is advantageous.
• Familiarity with community resources available for clients facing substance use disorders and mental health challenges.
