Base Pay: $17.75 per hour

Health and Welfare Benefit: $5.55 per hour

Total Compensation: $23.33 per hour

Additional Benefits: Paid vacation, sick leave, holidays, 3% company 401(a) match (eligibility based on plan terms)

Training Details:

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Central Time

Length: Approximately six weeks

Platform: Virtual (Zoom)

Attendance: Mandatory with strict requirements on time-off

  • Candidates should carefully review their availability for the entire training period before applying.
  • Key Responsibilities:Customer Service:
  • Respond to inbound calls from Veterans, healthcare providers, and other authorized callers.
  • Provide accurate information regarding healthcare services, benefits, referrals, authorizations, urgent care, dental services, and claims.
  • Listen carefully to each caller’s concern and provide professional, respectful, and compassionate assistance.
  • Adjust communication based on the caller’s needs and level of understanding.
  • Problem-Solving:
  • Research customer questions using multiple systems and available resources.
  • Resolve concerns during the first interaction whenever possible.
  • Complete outbound calls and followup activities as required.
  • Escalate complex or unresolved issues according to established procedures.
  • Provide accurate process and service information..
  • Documentation and Administrative Support:
  • Enter and maintain accurate customer and case information.
  • Document call details, actions taken, and outcomes in designated systems.
  • Complete required data entry and administrative work.
  • Protect confidential and sensitive information.
  • Quality and Compliance:
  • Follow all required scripts, policies, procedures, and operating guidelines.
  • Comply with HIPAA, privacy, and informationsecurity requirements.
  • Maintain professional conduct during all customer and team interactions.
  • Apply coaching and feedback to improve performance.
  • Stay current on process, policy, system, and service changes.
  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • At least two years of healthcare customer service or healthcare callcenter experience.
  • Experience supporting Medicare, Medicaid, TRICARE, the Veterans Health Administration, healthcare claims, health insurance, or healthcare providers is strongly preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and calmly with Veterans, healthcare providers, and other callers.
  • Strong activelistening and problemsolving skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency and strong systemnavigation skills.
  • Ability to learn and work in multiple systems simultaneously.
  • Comfortable using PCbased applications, dual monitors, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, internet browsers, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Ability to enter and document information accurately while speaking with callers.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to accept and apply performance coaching.
  • Dependable attendance and the ability to work the assigned schedule.
  • Ability to successfully complete all required preemployment screening and backgroundcheck requirements before the first day of training.
  • Experience with CRM and callquality systems, including Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, or NICE, is helpful but not required.
  • Work Environment:
  • Handle 5070 calls daily in a fastpaced, structured setting
  • Flexibility to work shifts between 6:00 a.m. 7:00 p.m. Central Time, including weekends/overtime as needed
  • Reliable, hardwired internet connection required
