• Provide individualized counseling and crisis intervention for clients facing emotional and behavioral challenges, ensuring that their concerns are heard and addressed effectively.
• Conduct thorough assessments to inform treatment plans, collaborating with clients to set defined goals and strategies for achieving positive mental health outcomes.
• Maintain comprehensive and timely documentation, including clinical notes and progress updates, in compliance with departmental policies and relevant regulations.
• Work in conjunction with other healthcare professionals, engaging in multidisciplinary meetings to align on treatment plans, particularly focusing on discharge planning and aftercare resources.
• Develop and nurture relationships with community organizations and resource groups, acting as a representative of Bedford Healthcare Center in discussions that aim to bridge service gaps for our patients.

As a mental health counselor at Bedford Healthcare Center, you will primarily serve a diverse patient population that encompasses various cultural, socioeconomic, and age demographics. Our clients include individuals dealing with acute mental health crises, those seeking support for chronic mental health conditions, and community members requiring substance abuse interventions. Your role will involve crafting culturally sensitive treatment approaches to foster trust and engagement with our clients.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling is required.
• An active independent license in one of the following areas: Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A minimum of two years of professional experience in a clinical setting is essential to ensure you are equipped to handle a variety of patient scenarios.

While not mandatory, candidates with prior experience in outpatient settings, particularly those dealing with high needs clients or in community health environments, will be highly regarded. Familiarity with integrated care models and experience using electronic health records (EHR) systems will also be advantageous in this role.
