Qualifications:

1. Graduated from a National League of Nursing accredited practical or vocational school of nursing. 2. Unencumbered license as a Practical or Vocational Nurse in the state that care is delivered.

3. 1 year of nursing experience; three years nursing experience preferred. Community, home health or medical/surgical experience preferred.

4. Comply with the state nurse practice act.

5. Comply with accepted professional standards of practice.

6. High level of interpersonal skills.

7. Certified in CPR.

8. Strong clinical skills.

9. Excellent customer service skills and ability to deal tactfully with clients, other team members and community.

10. Treat clients, team members and the public with courtesy, respect and presents a positive public image.

11. Empathy for the needs of the client.

12. Works as a team member.

13. Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision.

14. Licensed driver with reliable transportation that is insured in accordance with the organization's requirements.

15. Current physical or T.B./PPD test, if applicable

16. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English and communicate effectively.

Personal Protective Equipment: May include gloves, mask, eye/face protection, and disposable outer covering or lab coat.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the ability of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Visual and hearing acuity required.
