Overnight Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)


Position Summary

The Overnight LVN ensures client safety, medical stability, and a calm therapeutic environment during overnight hours. This role includes medication administration, client monitoring, crisis response, and clear documentation, while working independently and collaborating with the treatment team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine safety checks and monitor client status
  • Administer medications (scheduled and PRN) and document in EMR
  • Monitor for withdrawal symptoms, side effects, or changes in condition
  • Respond to medical or psychiatric concerns and follow emergency protocols
  • Complete accurate, timely documentation and shift reports
  • Maintain a quiet, structured environment that supports rest and recovery
  • Communicate effectively with residential staff and incoming shift

Qualifications

  • Active California LVN license
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
  • Experience in behavioral health, detox, or residential care preferred
