Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive psychosocial assessments to identify clients’ mental health needs.
• Coordinating care with other health professionals and community agencies to create effective treatment plans.
• Providing individual, family, or group psychotherapy, utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to client needs.
• Documenting treatment plans as per established medical records policies, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Acting as a liaison with community organizations to facilitate additional support for clients.
• Performing ongoing disposition planning and advocacy, ensuring patients have access to necessary resources.
• Engaging with multidisciplinary teams in regular consultations to discuss client progress and treatment outcomes.

In this role, you will primarily work with adult and geriatric populations who may face challenges such as depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and significant life changes. As we expand our services, you may also provide therapeutic support to children and adolescents, addressing their unique developmental and emotional needs. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's degree in Marriage Family Therapy or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California.
• Comprehensive knowledge of general theoretical and clinical models applicable to family therapy.
• Ability to build rapport and therapeutic alliances with clients, fostering an atmosphere of trust and openness.
• Proficiency in writing clear and concise clinical documentation, including evaluations and treatment summaries.
• Understanding of medical records practices to ensure client information is current and secure.
• Strong knowledge of social work ethics and the established scope of practice within the field.
• Competence in conducting thorough mental status exams, recognizing and appropriately addressing changes in client condition.
• A commitment to advocating for clients and coordinating care across various providers and community resources.

Experience working within an outpatient mental health setting is preferred, particularly with adult and geriatric populations. Familiarity with community resources such as income support and mental health programs is advantageous, along with a demonstrated ability to engage with clients who may require more comprehensive care coordination.

This role offers a competitive annual salary of $115,000 to $130,000, commensurate with experience and specialization.
